Michail Marmarinos is the new General Artistic Director of Eleusis 2021 European Capital of Culture, Greece.
The Board of Directors of Eleusis 2021 European Capital of Culture unanimously decided to appoint Michail Marmarinos as General Artistic Director.
The decision was based on the qualities of Michail Marmarinos’ personality on one hand, and on his diverse artistic work on the other. A visionary in the field of theater and beyond, who distinguished in the international cultural scene as an ambassador of Greece, enjoying appreciation and recognition abroad.
“It is a great honor to be appointed. I hope that my love for Elefsina – which dates back many years, long before it was declared as European Capital of Culture – will be transformed, with the contribution of all collaborators and the city itself, into a project that will leave living traces and memories.” said Michail Marmarinos after the announcement of the Board of Directors.
